MRCVS CPD Speaker Emma Poore BSc VetMB MA MRCVS GPCert (WVA&CPM) CCRT (Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon)

I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2005 from Cambridge Vet School. I previously read for a Zoology degree at Cardiff University before fulfilling my dream and getting into Vet School. Once in practice I developed a passion for pain management and rehabilitation. I have undertaken extensive training and further certification in canine rehabilitation and sports medicine and also chronic pain management, including acupuncture. I love working with a range of sporting dogs, ensuring that they are maintained at peak fitness and helping them recover fully after injury or surgery to get them back to what they do best. I also adore taking care of our more senior patients to make sure that their twilight years are as happy and pain-free as possible. In my spare time I like to read books, meet with friends, walk my adopted 7-year-old black Labrador called JJ and grow my own fruit and veg!
