Course Introduction

No doubt about it, adapting to change is hard and takes its toll on our mental health.

If you have felt anxious, confused, overwhelmed, stressed or afraid during this pandemic, know that you are not alone.

There are so many things outside of our control, however the one thing we can control is our mind and what we choose to focus on right now.

You need to give yourself the mental space to think clearly, stay informed but be intentional about how and when you check the news.

You might not be able to control Coronavirus. You might not be able to control what everyone else is doing or how responsible people are being, but you can control YOUR day and what YOU focus upon.

Invest in YOU during this pandemic.

I was off for some weeks over the summer after working for just over 3 months in a busy charity veterinary hospital. I was diagnosed with compassion fatigue and burnout. I felt like I'd failed everyone, clients, colleagues and my family but as the weeks went on I realised that I wasn't alone. Even though no one else in my practice had suffered from this and some found it difficult to understand just what 'my problem' was, others opened up to me and told me their past experiences-all very similar. I would just like to say thank you for this course and the people who have been involved as it is a great help to see how I was feeling/my behaviours actually written down and all were normal for my mindset. This course has been a great comfort, thank you.
