I am very lucky to work in a practice that promotes the benefits of feeding a raw food species appropriate diet to our patients which has lead me to become a raw feeder to my own cat; a 14 year old domestic shorthair whom i rehomed. We stock a variety of PFMA approved brands in practice who have provided us with information but what i loved most about this course was that it is completely unbias there are no mentions of companies/brands and Katie is very honest in stating that raw feeding isn't for everyone or every patient and that's okay. I am a clinic nurse and discuss diet with many of my clients so this course was perfect for me. I now feel my raw feeding knowledge has improved and i found myself following Katie's advice with a client last week who was recovering post-operatively. I think its massively important all veterinary professionals are aware of how to advise clients on raw feeding safely and the potential risks associated with it. We should be encouraging and supporting owners and ensuring they are feeding good quality diets. Whether you agree with raw feeding or not this is a course i would recommend to all veterinary professionals. i think it is much better to be able to say 'that is not an area i am familiar with but did you know our vet/veterinary nurse ... has an interest in raw feeding and i would like to refer you on to them to discuss it' than just saying 'never ever raw feed your pets', I found the course well run and easy to follow and i love that their were attachments and mini tasks we could complete as well as the module quizzes at the end. Overall i would highly recommend this course and innovet-cpd and look forward to putting my new knowledge to use! Many thanks. Chloe Little RVN.

Alex was an excellent speaker, full of enthusiasm for her topic which she is highly knowledgeable on. There was a LOT of information in this course that even the most experienced of nurses would be able to glean tips from. Great value for money and easily accessible.

I started this course to help me at work, about a week into it I lost my beloved pooch, Jack, rather unexpectedly and felt so devastated and upset; it was quite hard to carry on with the course as I cried pretty much all the way through it but not only did I get a lot more knowledge as someone who works in a vets, it helped me so much on a personal level with my own thoughts and feelings. So thank you Carrie and Vicki at Innovet for making this course available, it was really worthwhile and I am so glad to have been able to complete it. Would highly recommend, many thanks, Debbie

Have really enjoyed this course. I have been interest in Animal Physio since i started my Vet Nursing career. Unfortunately New Zealand doesn't have anywhere yet to study to get a qualification in it but this has been a great way to learn about how to treat the patients as a nurse. Thank you!

Really enjoyed this course and gave me more of an insight of what we as nurses can be doing on a daily basis to help animals along in their rehabilitation. Also has given me an idea on what route I can go down further regarding qualifications.

A brilliant Cpd course for someone, like me, who has been out of practise for a while. Very good notes and slides. Very well presented and explained. Great content.

I decided to take this course because I read the 1 hour CPD for how to handle pet loss during COVID and the information really interested me. This course has been really inspiring and knowledgeable. I have learnt so much. Carrie teaches the course so brilliantly. The mixture of videos, power point slides, workbook and assessment questions is fantastic. In branch at present, I write out the sympathy cards and put forget me not seeds in the card and send these to clients. However, Carrie's idea of the grief packs is amazing and I will be speaking to work to try and implement this. I feel pet loss and bereavement support is so important in practice and we need to show clients that we are there for them - even in their darkest days. I would encourage anyone working in the veterinary industry to take this course - whether you are a vet, vet nurse, receptionist etc you will all benefit from this course. Carrie- You are fantastic. Thank you so much for providing such a fantastic course.

Very informative; a great start for any nurse thinking of starting supportive clinics; outlines complications/seriousness of clinics etc.

This course was delivered in nice compact parts, making it easy to watch/read/complete when time allowed. You can tell from the videos that Carrie really believes in what she is talking about and has passion for the subject.

I loved this course! I found it so easy to follow as it was so well-structured and the information was very accessible. Katie was also so helpful with answers to my many many questions! I learnt so much on this course and it really got me excited about giving nutritional information to clients. I know I have a lot more work to do to become familiar with most of the foods out there but this course has equipped me with the skills and tools to be confident when giving nutritional advice and informing clients about what to look for and what to avoid. Thanks so much and I'm definitely going to do the raw food course soon!
